Working up one of my sketches from earler this year into a painting.
I need to let this one rest a while and come back to it - maybe that's enough. It's hard to put yourself back into early Spring when all around is now so very lush and green. I'm loving the inclusion of printouts in the sketches - I wonder how durable they are on canvas? I'm also using ripped paper to add a little more texture. I don't really want to go overboard and create too much of this - and I'm too impatient in waiting for it to dry before layering paint over. I think it would be very easy to end up with mixed-media porridge.
